Privacy Policy
What Air Savvy collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to get it deleted.
Effective Date: August 8, 2026 · Diothas Systems, LLC
This policy explains what Air Savvy collects, why we collect it, who it goes to, and what you can do about it. It applies to air-savvy.com and the Air Savvy service, operated by Diothas Systems, LLC ("we", "us"). It is written to describe what the service actually does rather than to cover every theoretical possibility.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you register we store your email address and a hashed password, plus any optional name, username and phone number you choose to provide. We also record your subscription tier and dates, your notification preferences, whether you accepted the Terms and when, and the date your account was created.
Flight tracker information
For each tracker you create we store the origin and destination airports, travel dates, trip type, cabin and fare type, airline and flight number, passenger count, and any target price or alert threshold you set. We also keep the price history we collect for that itinerary over time.
Support messages
If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you send, and we keep that correspondence so we can help you.
Payment information
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and payment credentials are entered directly with Stripe and never reach our servers. We store only the identifiers Stripe gives us to associate your account with your subscription, plus your plan status and renewal dates.
Mobile app information
If you use the Air Savvy Android app and turn on push notifications, we store a device notification token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging. It identifies your device to the notification service so we can deliver price alerts; it is not linked to any advertising profile and we use it for nothing else. Turning push off in the app's settings, or deleting your account, removes it.
The app also records which platform the device is (Android or iOS) so alerts are sent through the right service. The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, calendar or any other device data.
Technical information
If you use the no-signup trial, we briefly use your IP address in memory to limit how many free searches can be made from one address per hour. This is held only for the length of that rate-limiting window (one hour) and is not written to our database or linked to an account. Our hosting provider also maintains standard server logs.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not receive or store your card number or payment credentials.
- We do not run analytics or behavioural tracking software — there is no Google Analytics, Meta pixel, or similar tag on the website or in the app. (Advertising is separate and is described in section 4.)
- Air Savvy itself does not set any first-party cookies (see section 4).
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, calendar, or any special categories of personal data. Our advertising provider may infer an approximate location from your network address; that is described in section 4 and is not something we receive.
- We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
3. How we use your information
- To run the service — creating your account, saving trackers, checking fares and building your price history.
- To send you the emails you signed up for — price alerts, weekly updates, and tracker confirmations.
- To send necessary account emails — password resets, billing confirmations, subscription and account status changes. These are part of the service and are not marketing.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions, refunds and renewals.
- To answer your support requests.
- To protect the service — preventing abuse of the free trial and keeping accounts secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Local storage and advertising
Air Savvy stores a few items in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. These stay on your device and are not transmitted to us as cookies:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| as_token | Keeps you signed in. Removed when you sign out. |
| as_guest_trackers | Holds trackers created in the no-signup trial, so they survive a page refresh. |
| as_timefmt | Remembers your 12- or 24-hour time preference. |
| as_api_avail, as_ack_* | Remembers interface state, such as a notice you have already acknowledged. |
You can clear these at any time through your browser settings. Clearing them signs you out and discards any guest trackers.
Advertising
Air Savvy is supported by advertising on its free tier. Paid plans show no ads. Which ad service is used depends on where you are:
- On the website we use Google AdSense.
- In the mobile app we use Google AdMob. AdSense is not used in the app.
AdMob does not use browser cookies. Instead it may use your device's advertising identifier — a resettable ID Google provides — along with general device and app information, to select and measure ads. That data goes to Google and its advertising partners. You can reset or delete the identifier, and limit ad personalisation, in your device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer and Android version).
Third-party vendors including Google use cookies on the website to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
- More detail is in Google's policy on how it uses data from sites that use its services.
These cookies are set by Google, not by us, and we do not have access to the information they collect.
5. Third parties we rely on
We keep the list short and use each provider only for the purpose stated.
| Provider | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Your payment details and billing email, directly from you |
| Google AdSense | Advertising on the free tier, website only | Ad-serving data as described above |
| Google AdMob | Advertising on the free tier, mobile app only | Device advertising identifier and app/device information |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Delivering push notifications to the app | Your device notification token and the alert content |
| SerpAPI | Retrieving airfare data | Route, dates, cabin and passenger count — not your identity |
| Hostinger | Hosting, database and outbound email | Data stored and transmitted by the service |
| Google Fonts, jsDelivr | Fonts and the charting library | Standard request data, including IP, when your browser loads the file |
Fare lookups are sent as an anonymous route query. We do not tell fare providers who is searching.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users. If the business is ever sold or transferred, account data may transfer with it, and you would be notified.
Links to airlines and booking sites
Air Savvy links out to airline websites and booking sites so you can complete a purchase. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, subject to their privacy policy, not ours. We do not share your account information with them.
6. Emails you receive, and how to stop them
Depending on your plan and settings you may receive price alerts, a weekly update, tracker confirmations, and account or billing notices. Alert and weekly-update preferences can be changed at any time in Settings, and deleting a tracker stops emails about it.
Essential account emails — password resets, billing receipts, and notices about your subscription — cannot be switched off while your account is open, because they are part of providing the service.
7. How long we keep data
- Account data is kept while your account is open.
- Trackers and their price history are kept until you delete the tracker or your account.
- Guest trial trackers live only in your browser's local storage and are never stored on our servers unless you register and choose to keep them.
- Rate-limiting IP data is held in memory for one hour and then discarded.
- Device notification tokens are kept while push is enabled on that device. They are deleted when you turn push off, delete your account, or the notification service reports the device as no longer reachable.
- Support correspondence is kept as long as needed to resolve the issue and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Billing records may be retained by us and by Stripe as long as required for tax, accounting and legal obligations.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored in readable form — we cannot see your password and cannot tell it to you. The site is served over HTTPS. Payment credentials are handled entirely by Stripe. Access to production data is limited to those who need it to operate the service.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please email support@air-savvy.com rather than posting it publicly.
9. Your rights and choices
Whatever jurisdiction you are in, you can:
- See and correct your information — most of it is editable directly in Settings.
- Delete your trackers individually at any time.
- Delete your account and associated data — do it yourself at air-savvy.com/delete-account or from Settings in the app, or email support@air-savvy.com and we will action it.
- Get a copy of your data — ask us and we will provide it.
- Change your email preferences in Settings.
- Opt out of personalised advertising using the links in section 4.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — for example under the GDPR in the UK and EEA, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — including rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and to object to certain processing. We honour these requests regardless of where you are. We do not sell personal information as those laws define it. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity first, and we will not discriminate against you for asking.
10. Children
Air Savvy is intended for users aged 18 and over, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
Air Savvy is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored there. If you use the service from another country, you are transferring information to the United States, where data protection law may differ from your own.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and post the revised version on this page. Material changes affecting how we use your personal information will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
